The Selkirk Boomstik Elongated Pickleball Paddle is a power-focused pickleball paddle for intermediate to advanced players who want extra reach, strong plow-through and high spin potential. The elongated 16.5-inch shape combines a 16mm BoomCore with a three-layer Multistrata T700 Carbon face, while InfiniGrit adds a durable textured hitting surface. A 5.8-inch handle provides space for two-handed backhands, and Selkirk's MOI Tuning System distributes perimeter weight to improve stability and create a more forgiving sweet spot.

• InfiniGrit Surface: A high-friction surface engineered to increase ball grip and spin while maintaining its texture for longer. Selkirk states that InfiniGrit offers three times the spin durability of traditional raw carbon peel-ply surfaces and can generate up to 2,000 RPM.
• BoomCore: Selkirk's power-focused foam core combines PureFoam with an EVA Power Ring, fused together to produce a solid response, powerful ball exit and long-term structural durability without requiring a traditional break-in period.
• MOI Tuning System: A semi-permanent perimeter weighting system places precision-engineered weights around the edge guard to optimise mass distribution. This increases resistance to twisting on off-centre contact while creating a larger, more forgiving sweet spot and balanced feel.
• Multistrata T700 Carbon Face: Three layers of T700 carbon form the paddle face, providing a firm, responsive hitting platform that complements the high-powered BoomCore construction.
• Octagonal Handle: The upgraded octagonal handle provides clearly defined bevels for a secure grip, supporting manoeuvrability, controlled paddle positioning and accurate changes between different shot types.

Cleaning Instructions:

• Do not use a cleaning block. Fill a spray bottle with roughly 80-90% water and a small amount of mild detergent, steering clear of strong chemicals. Lightly mist the paddle surface, then wipe it with a microfibre cloth to clear away any buildup in a single sweep. You can also use alcohol wipes, but the water-and-detergent approach is gentle and effective. Giving the paddle a clean whenever you notice visible residue will help extend its lifespan, keep it performing well, and maintain a like-new appearance.

The Boomstik Elongated was unlike any other paddle that we had seen (or heard, hence the name boomstik). It is best suited to players who generate attacking opportunities from drives, serves, and aggressive counters. Its 118 ± 2 swing weight and elongated profile provide substantial penetration, while the 16mm BoomCore keeps the response solid. The Infinigrit surface is the original and still one of the best for spin, slice, and touch. Rory loved the extra power generated, whereas I personally found it a touch TOO powerful and preferred the omni in our tests.
