Tretorn's micro cellular technology is patented worldwide and recognized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) as the pioneer in a new category of tennis balls called 'micro cell.' Tretorn's micro cell tennis ball, the Micro X, is neither pressurized nor pressureless. The Micro X ball combines the best of both worlds, resulting in a tour performance ball that does not lose bounce or performance over time.
Pressureless tennis balls are designed differently from regular tennis balls in the sense that pressureless balls do not lose their bounce. The only time they need replacing is when their cover becomes worn. This, on average, occurs between 1 and 2 years. This is very practical with ball machine use due to the fact that ball machines usually hold a couple hundred tennis balls. You don't want to have to worry about changing a couple hundred tennis balls every couple weeks. With pressureless tennis balls, you will only have to change the balls every 1 to 2 years.
Tretorn Micro-X now comes in packaging made from recycled materials!
